Dedication to the Community
Nova associates love to give back. Last year, we raised nearly $15,000 for charitable organizations. Even while working in a virtual environment, associates remained dedicated to charitable giving. We organized a no-contact school supply collection in late summer, ran a successful virtual food drive for Thanksgiving, and rallied to ensure gifts were donated during the holiday season, even when faced with environmental obstacles. The compassionate hearts of Nova associates are also innovative, flexing to pivot to the circumstances laid before them honoring previous charitable commitments while also adopting new opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Additionally, Nova’s associate-led committee, Nova in the Neighborhood, organizes events and activities for associates to support small businesses and non-profits throughout Western New York. As a part of the Independent Health family of companies, we also have the opportunity to volunteer as RedShirts, making a difference in the communities we serve through multiple programs and events.
