Nova's 'Under the Coverage' Podcast Returns for Season Two

Two new episodes are ready to stream on your favorite platforms!

Wish you understood how to better navigate the health care system? We do too. That’s why Nova Healthcare Administrators (Nova) launched “Under the Coverage,” a podcast featuring people who spend their working days focused on health benefits and health care, to share their insider tips on information they wish every health care consumer knew.

Back for its second season, two new episodes of the podcast dropped this week and are available on SoundCloud, Stitcher, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music and TuneIn. You can also listen via digital assistants like Alexa, Google and Cortana. Just ask Alexa to, “play the Under the Coverage podcast on Apple Podcasts” (or wherever you get your podcasts).

Episode 1: Navigating Medical Benefits and Lightning Lanes: Most Americans spend more time researching their vacation than understanding medical plan benefits – and a vacation might happen once or twice a year. Families use their insurance plan more often than that. Tune in to hear hosts Sara Fluskey, Nova’s marketing and communications officer, and Jolene Myers, Nova’s manager of marketing, discuss what people working in the health care and insurance industry wish others knew so they would get the most out of their benefits.

Episode 2: Pharmacy Benefit Tiers for Fears: We’ve got a fever...and the only prescription is better understanding around pharmacy benefits. Are pharmacy benefits different from medical benefits? What’s a formulary? How can someone save money by requesting a generic version of a brand name drug (if possible)? This episode’s guest, Carly, a marketing specialist from Pharmacy Benefit Dimensions, loves these topics and helping others understand the complex world of pharmacy benefits.
